David Vaughan DeVine

David is a Senior Academic Advisor within the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, he worked as a teacher of composition at Austin Community College District, as a graduate student instructor of rhetoric at Arizona State University’s (ASU) Department of English, as well as the Assistant Director of Writing Programs for ASU, c. 2018-2019. His most recent publication is “Declaiming Dragons: Empathy Learning and The Elder Scrolls in Teaching Medieval Rhetorical Schemes” in Teaching the Middle Ages through Modern Games (2022).
